The Challenge
To create packaging for a cheese import company's unique goudas. Honey Bee Goat Cheese is Dutch Gouda infused with honey. The owner wanted to have a bee on the label, it had to be happy and family-friendly.
I worked with Cheeseland Inc. on multiple designs. Several other designs are available the bottom of this page.
My Role
- Illustrate the bee
- Design the logo & label
- Pre-Press the artwork
- Press check the label in Holland
- Redesign the label for various packaging needs
- Add the new product to their website (that I designed)
- Create Promotional print pieces such as brochures, postcards, magazine advertisements and point of purchase adds

Wheel label
The large wheel of cheese has a label printed on food safe tissue paper. This outer wheel label is cut when each cheese slice is made. The honeycomb texture became an important recognizable portion of the design. The bee logo also appears on the edge so larger slices will show the full bee logo.
